KOLKATA, JAN. 20. Sharmila Nicollet of Bangalore played a consistent game to enter the gold division match-play semifinals of the 88th all-India ladies amateur golf championship here at the Tollygunge Club course on Thursday. Nicollet beat the defending champion Vandana Agarwal in the 19th hole play-off. In the semifinals Nicollet will meet another teenager, Vaishavi Sinha of Noida, who beat her senior state-mate, Shalini Mallick, on the 17th hole. Top seeded Irina Brar of Chandigarh was in her usual form as she disposed of her Karnataka opponent Bhavna Shetty on the 15th hole to easily move into the last four stage. Brar meets Neha Majithia of Delhi in the other semifinal.
