TTFI bars 20 players

CHENNAI, JAN. 20. The Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) has barred 20 overaged players (in respective categories) from taking further part in the ongoing National sub-junior table tennis championship here after receiving medical reports which showed that they clearly violated the age limit.

The list of 20 players:

Sub-junior boys: Apratim Gogoi (Asm), Saidul Alam Ahmed (Asm), Pritam Bose (Ben), Raj Mondal (Ben), Kaushik Das (Ben), Sushovan Das (CoE), S. Amarjeet Singh (Man), Nong Shaba Singh (Man).

Cadet boys: Anirban Sinha Roy (Ben), Priyabrata Das (Ben), Biswadip Bhattacharya (Ben), Pranoy Moitra (CoE); Soumyajit Ghosh (CoE).

Sub-junior girls: Kasturi Sarmah (Asm), Priyanka Madhwal (Utt).

Cadet girls: Samayata Mondal (Ben), Ankita Das (CoE), Sharmana Dutta (CoE), Medha Maitra (CoE), K.S.H. Chingkheinganbi (Man). — Our Sports Reporter
