Ronak upsets Christopher

CHENNAI, JAN. 20. Ronak Manuja of Maharashtra, seeded five, defeated compatriot and top-seed Christopher Marquis 6-3, 6-4 in the AITA junior super series tennis championship in The Hindu-Sportstar tournament at the Krishnan Tennis Centre here on Thursday.

The results (quarterfinals):

Boys: (U-14): Ronak Manuja (Mah) bt Christopher Marquis (Mah) 6-3, 6-4; M. Gopinath (AP) bt A.N. Mudappa (Kar) 6-2, 6-1; Mansingh Athre (Mah) bt Sudanwa Sitaram (TN) 6-3, 6-4; Chandril Sood (U.P.) bt Lakshit Sood (U.P.) 6-2, 2-6, 6-3.
