CHENNAI, JAN. 20. Skipper Vikram Kumar scored 117 as Tamil Nadu scored 297 for nine on the first day of the South Zone under-22 P. Ramachandra Trophy match against Karnataka at the M.A. Chidambaram stadium on Thursday. Earlier, Karnataka won the toss and put the home team in to bat. Vikram's knock included 11 boundaries, and the no. 3 batsman put on 110 with opener Anirudh Srikkanth for the second wicket. Anirudh hit 10 fours and two sixes while making 73 off 88 balls, and hit 10 fours and two sixes. For Karnataka, off-spinner Ryan Ninam took four wickets for 108.
Tamil Nadu 297 for nine (S. Anirudh 73, Vikram Kumar 117, Ryan Ninam four for 108) v Karnataka at MAC.
Kerala 254 for six (V. A. Jagadeesh 124 batting) v Goa at SPIC-YMCA.
Andhra 175 (Pragyan Ojha four for 40) v Hyderabad 57 for no loss at SRMC.
