COIMBATORE: A national-level trade fair of building materials — Build Expo 2005 — will be held here from January 22 to 26. Organised by the Coimbatore District Small Industries' Association, Coimbatore centres of the Builders' Association of India (BAI) and the Association of Consulting Civil Engineers, the event will have 250 participants covering various building materials and services. To be conducted at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex, it will also have seminars on green building, environmental management in river basins and group discussion on road and traffic. "The main aim of the expo is to encourage quality in the construction industry," said the Expo Chairman, D. R. Sekar. The business hours on Monday and Tuesday (January 24 and 25) are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Southern Regional meet of the Builders' Association of India will be held on January 23.
