CHENNAI, JAN. 20. Airtel has reduced subscriber trunk dialling (STD) and international subscriber dialling (ISD) rates for its mobile customers. The ISD tariff has been reduced by Rs. 1.75 per minute and the STD rate by 35 paise per minute on the current tariffs based on simple average access deficit charge (ADC) reduction of 20 paise per minute for calls between 50 to 200 km and 50 paise per minute for calls to more than 200 km. Manoj Kohli, president mobility, Bharti Tele-Ventures, said here today that Airtel had taken the lead in announcing the tariff reduction keeping with the company's commitment to pass on the benefits of reduction in the ADC directly to customers. The introduction of the tariff was subject to the implementation of a TRAI regulation press release dated January 6, the release said.
