NEW DELHI, JAN. 20. Acceding to the request of the I.P. Extension Societies Mahasangh and to facilitate speedy disposal of cases, the Delhi Development Authority has decided to hold a camp for conversion of group housing society flats from lease hold to free hold at Arya Nagar CGHS in I.P. Extension in East Delhi on January 22. A release issued by DDA said the conversion camp will be held from 10-30 a.m. to 4-30 p.m. and will witness distribution of conveyance deed papers in those cases where the conversion papers have already been received and the cases stand approved. The pending conversion cases will also be processed on the spot especially wherein deficiencies have been conveyed to the applicant and the applicant has completed them. Besides, the release said, fresh conversion applications will also be accepted at the site through the Central Bank of India and the State Bank of India and the members of the group housing societies can purchase the conversion application forms from the DDA office at Vikas Sadan on payment of a sum of Rs 50. Stating that in an earlier conversion camp held in October 2004 at I.P. Extension as many as 75 cases were settled on the spot, 150 conveyance deed papers were issued and 675 new conversion cases were received, DDA said information about pending cases along with deficiency of each was available on its website www.ddadelhi.com.
