Cool nights to continue

Cool nights are to continue with the minimum temperature likely to remain around 15 degrees Celsius on Friday. Temperatures recorded on Thursday were a maximum of 28.8 degrees Celsius and minimum of 14.7 degrees Celsius. Relative humidity was 45 per cent.

RTC counters

The APSRTC bus pass counters and e-Seva counters will function from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, said the regional manager of the APSRTC, C. Panduranga Murthy, and appealed to the general public to avail the facility.

Power bill payment

All electricity bill collection counters in the twin cities will remain open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday to enable people pay their bills despite it being a public holiday on account of Bakrid. They can also pay the bills at e-Seva centres in Banjara Hills, Khairatabad, Musheerabad, Ramnagar, Malakpet, Salarjung Museum, Marredpally, S.R. Nagar, Santosh Nagar, New Nallakunta, Rethi Bowli, Vijayanagar Colony, Domalguda, Chikkadpally, Sultan Bazar and Mint Compound without any service charge between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Lok Adalat

The AP Transco will hold a Lok Adalat at Mint Compound premises here on Saturday to hear and settle the cases of consumers of Central Power Distribution Company of AP Limited. A release said that the Adalat would begin at 11 a.m on the day.

Winners

A student of Geethanjali Devshala School, Avani Khandel has won the third prize in Hindi slogan competition at the national level `The Indian Express-Intach heritage essay competition' which was organised for schoolchildren on Wednesday. Hafsa Siddique of Princess Essin's school won the prize in English slogan writing. The prizes will be given away by Shravan Kumar, convenor, INTACH, Hyderabad chapter on January 27.
