TIRUCHI, JAN. 20 . Members of the Bharathiya Janata Party, led by its State president, C. P. Radhakrishnan, staged a demonstration near the Anna Statue in Chinthamani in the city today, protesting the arrest of the Kanchi Shankaracharyas. Party cadres raised slogans denouncing the State Government for arresting the Kanchi Acharyas, Sri Jayendrar and Sri Vijayendrar. The State Secretary, T. N. Balaji Sivaraj, and the district convener of the party, R.Thirumalai, participated in the agitation.
