Jana to shift residence

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD, JAN. 20. The Home Minister, K. Jana Reddy, will shift from his private residence on Road No. 12, Banjara Hills to a Government bungalow in Kundanbagh by the first week of February.

The move marks the end of an eight month-long wait for Mr. Reddy to move into official accommodation. He was originally slated to shift into the building occupied by the former Home Minister, T. Devender Goud. However, he could not do so as the Endowments Minister, M. Satyanarayana, moved into it.

Mr. Reddy is now moving into a bungalow whose earlier tenant was Kadiam Srihari. For the past fortnight, extensive repairs were being carried out in the building. The Home Minister's office clarified that he was shifting only for the sake of convenience for his peshi and not on account of security reasons, as was reported in a section of the media.
