BANGALORE, JAN. 21. Airtel on Wednesday announced a service guarantee for its fixed line customers in Karnataka. Under this offer, which Airtel said is a benchmark for the industry, any telephone going out of order is to be restored within four working hours. The company has also promised error-free billing and in case of any failure, to credit Rs. 100 to the customer's bill. Prem Pradeep, Chief Executive Officer, Airtel Broadband and Telephone Services, said, "We want to be admired for the customer delight factor. New products will be offered by all service providers and prices will keep dropping up to a certain point but we want to offer more," he said. Airtel at present had close to 1.5 lakh landline customers in Karnataka, Mr. Pardeep said. Apart from broadband and telephone services, it offered customers multiple pricing and payment options, ISDN services, VPNs and an advanced communication network capable of handling voice, data and video.
