CHENNAI, JAN. 21. Prodapt Solutions, a company focussed on specialised software outsourcing deals, is spreading its wings in the U.S. and increasing its headcounts as part of its exercise to work in close tandem with clients across the globe. It plans to open office in Chicago and New York. It has already an office in California. A part of the Rs.550-crore Jhavar Group, which owns Tablets India among others, Prodapt had set up a dedicated offshore development centre in Bangalore on a build, operate and transfer basis to the Nasdaq-listed Concerto Software, engaged in provision of contact centre solutions. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Vedant Jhaver, President, Prodapt, said that his company was able to do this inside 15 months. As bigger companies did not want to enter this space and smaller ones lacked resources, Prodapt could carve out a niche for itself in providing outsourcing solution in setting up dedicated centres, he added. "We are talking with few other software product firms,'' he said. He expected the company to end the current financial year with a 70 per cent growth with revenue of Rs. 14.50 crores. Prodapt has 280 people on its rolls now. This number would go up to 600 in 12 months, he added.
