Mainly sunny weather likely in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI, JAN. 21. Isolated rainfall occurred over coastal Tamil Nadu.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over coastal Andhra Pradesh and dry weather prevailed over interior Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep. Ramanathapuram and Pamban recorded rainfall of 1 cm. each. The minimum temperature rose appreciably at one or two places over coastal Karnataka, north coastal Tamil Nadu, south interior Tamil Nadu, rose at one or two places over Telangana, south Kerala, north interior Tamil Nadu, fell at one or two places over rest north coastal Tamil Nadu, south Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema and changed little elsewhere over the region. They were appreciably above normal at a few places over Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over south Kerala, north interior Karnataka, coastal Andhra Pradesh, above normal at a few places over rest Kerala, Telangana, rest Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over coastal Karnataka, rest coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, below normal at a few places over rest Telangana and were generally normal over the rest of the region. Nizamabad and Ramagundam recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 14 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (Valid until Sunday morning): Mainly dry weather will prevail over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
