Guntur
By Our Staff Reporter
GUNTUR, JAN. 21. The Communist Party of India (Maoist) Platoon Area Committee secretary, Suresh, in a telephonic statement warned reporters on Friday that the party would punish the Congress MLAs and other people's representatives in Palnadu region of Guntur district if they did not come to the rescue of the people. The Maoist leader alleged that while the Congress party had promised to protect the lives of people in the villages, they had failed to check the alleged police excesses in the region. He also took exception to the lack of reaction from them to the recent encounters in the State.
