Sonia congratulates Sania

NEW DELHI, JAN. 21. The Congress president, Sonia Gandhi, has congratulated tennis player Sania Mirza for her performance in the Australian Open.

In her message to Ms. Mirza, who made history by becoming the first Indian woman to enter the third round of a Grand Slam tournament, she said, "All of India is proud of you." Ms. Gandhi said, "Rahul, Priyanka, Robert and I are thrilled by your performance in the Australian Open."
