PONDICHERRY, JAN. 21. He told reporters that it was a private visit. "I visited the Aravind hospital and held discussions with the hospital staff. But nothing has been finalised." A hospital release said that members of the Aravind management led by its founder-chairman, Dr. Govindappa Venkateswamy, made presentations on their model of eye care delivery as well as on the eye care needs in Uttar Pradesh . "Rahul was also given a quick tour of the Pondicherry facility. Subsequent discussions centred on the viability and process of replicating the Aravind model in Amethi," the release said.
