Shinde for talks

By Our Correspondent

VIZIANAGARAM, JAN. 21. The Governor, Suhil Kumar Shinde, favours continuation of talks between the Government and the Maoists for return of peace.

Mr. Shinde told reporters at the Training and Technical Development Centre (TTDC) here on Friday that naxalism was not new to four or five States in the country. The State Government had initiated the talks with the naxalites and they (talks) would continue, he hoped and added that both sides should move forward burying the past. The Governor, who is seemingly enamoured with the Bobbili veena, said he would present the veena to dignitaries visiting Raj Bhavan as it is the `pride of our State.'
