MYSORE, JAN. 21. Sri Lalithakala Academy Foundation Trust here will organise a two-day seminar on the great composers of Mysore from Saturday. The unique seminar will focus on the compositions of legendary vaggeyakaras Mysore Vasudevacharya, Veene Seshanna, Bidaram Krishnappa and Mysore Chowdaiah. The seminar will be held at the Bidaram Prasanna Sita Rama Mandira auditorim on the Narayan Shastry Road and will feature a quiz programme on the life and compositions of artistes. Musician R.K. Srikantan, V. Nanjundaswamy, C.A. Sridhar and Nagalakshmi Suryanarayana will present papers. The inaugural function will feature a lecture-cum-demonstration and presentation of a paper by Mr. Srikantan and Dr. Sridhar followed by vocal concerts of Radha Thandeshwar of Bangalore and Mr. Srikantan. C.D. Narasimhaiah,Director, Dhvanyaloka, will release the first publication of the academy, "The Quiz" and the brochure of the great composers of Mysore.
