Big win for Salwan PS

BANGALORE, JAN. 22. Salwan Public School, Delhi beat St. Joseph's Boys High School by 140 runs in the Himalaya Chyavanaprash inter-city cricket tournament for the Champions Cup at the KSCA (B) grounds here on Saturday.

Salwan PS piled up 345 for six wickets in 50 overs with Yogesh Nagar hammering 152 with 18 fours and three sixes before he was stumped. Yogesh shared a 186-run second wicket stand with Shobith Kaushik (91).

St. Joseph's made 205 for four. Opener Suraj scored 95, which included 13 fours and two sixes.

Salwan PS, with two wins under its belt, meets St. Andrews High School, Hyderabad in the final league tie on Sunday.

The scores: Salwan PS, Delhi 345 for six in 50 overs (Yogesh Nagar 152, Shobith Kaushik 91) bt St. Joseph's BHS, Bangalore 205 for four in 50 overs (Suraj 95).
