Suryanelli case: Government not to show haste

By Our Staff Reporter

KOCHI, JAN. 22. The Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy, has said that the Government will not take a hasty decision regarding going in appeal against the Kerala High Court verdict on the Suryanelli sex scandal case.

He was speaking to presspersons at Kakkanadu, near here, after a convocation ceremony at the Kerala Press Academy today.

Mr. Chandy said that no decision had been taken to go in appeal against the verdict. The verdict would be studied in detail before taking any action, he said.

He said that the law would take its own course. He referred to how some political parties had to face internal conflicts on account of the hasty decisions and pronouncements on some "sex scandal" cases.
