Continue talks with naxals: DCC

NIZAMABAD, JAN. 22. The District Congress Committee (DCC) has exhorted the Government to continue talks with the Communist Party of India (Maoist) and CPI(ML)-Janashakti naxalites for peace and tranquillity in the State.

In a memorandum submitted to the Home Minister, K. Jana Reddy, here on Saturday, the DCC president, G. Gangadhar, said Nizamabad district was infested with naxalite activities and the second rung party cadre was panic-stricken. Therefore, in view of the safety and security of people and also party cadre the Government should continue peace talks with naxalites, he said.
