NEW DELHI, JAN. 22. In order to ensure an interruption-free full dress rehearsal of the Republic Day Parade on Sunday, the Delhi Traffic police have announced certain restrictions along the Parade route. The restrictions will remain in effect from 6 a.m. 12 p.m.

The Parade will begin from Vijay Chowk and reach India Gate via Rajpath. From India Gate it will move on to Tilak Marg and then take Bahadurshah Zafar Marg. It will terminate at Red Fort Ground reaching there via Netaji Subhash Marg.

Apart from the Parade route, no traffic would be allowed around Vijay Chowk. All roads leading to Vijay Chowk have been declared a prohibited area. Entire Rafi Marg, Janpath and Man Singh Road will be completely closed for the traffic. Similarly, India Gate roundabout too will be closed for general traffic.

Other roads to be closed for general traffic are Bhagwan Dass Road (from Pragati Maidan to Barakhamba roundabout), Sikandra Road, I.P. Marg and Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg (the ITO crossing), Jawharlal Nehru Marg, Asaf Ali Road, Ansari Road, Jama Masjid, New Daryaganj Road and the road leading to Chandni Chowk.

Traffic will also not be allowed towards I.P. Marg, Jawaharlal Nehru Marg and New Daryaganj Road from Ring Road.
