Emphatic win for Salgaocar
MARGAO,
JAN. 22.
Salgaocar scored a 5-1 victory over Tollygunge in a third round match of the IX National football league here on Saturday.
Salgaocar, which led 3-1 at halftime, scored through Jyothi Kumar (17th), Felix Ibrebru (20th, 53rd), Francis Andrade (42nd) and Bernard Pires (69th). Tollygunge reduced the margin through Suley Musah in the 25th minute. The win took Salgaocar's tally to six points from three matches. Tollygunge, which lost its first match, has four points from three matches. — PTI
