HYDERABAD, JAN. 22. The city police will impose the following traffic restrictions in connection with the Republic Day celebrations at Parade Grounds on January 26. The police have also identified the parking place for those participating in the programme. The entry on S.P. Road between CTO crossroad and YMCA crossroad will be made "one way" between 7 a.m and 11 a.m. Cars having passes will be allowed from CTO junction towards YMCA before the parade commences and in the reverse direction towards CTO junction after the parade. The road from Cantonment garden to SBH crossroads will be closed for all vehicular traffic from 7 a.m to 11 a.m. All invitees having VIP, AA, A1, A2, B1 and B2 car passes coming from the Begumpet side shall proceed via Rasoolpura junction and CTO flyover. Those coming from the upper Tank Bund and Ranigunj side shall proceed via MG Road or Parklane. They shall pass through CTO island/Plaza junction to the Parade Ground side of SP Road and alight at their respective alighting points on the road. After alighting, cars with passes AA, A1 and A2 can be parked in front of MCH office under the flyover bridge. Cars with B1 and B2 passes will proceed up to SBH junction, turn left and be parked in the compound in the office of the Chief Engineer Project Ordinance factory. The cars coming from the Cantonment side will proceed on SP Road and be parked in their enclosures. Invitees having car passes A3 to A7 coming from MG Road, Begumpet and Secunderabad Cantonment side will proceed into Gymkhana Grounds and alight there. They shall walk up to their enclosures after parking their cars in Gymkhana Grounds.
Invitees with car passes B3, B4 and B5 shall come via SD Road, proceed up to SBH junction and turn right and get inside the compound of the office of the Chief Engineer Ordinance factory where the parking lot is available. Invitees coming from Begumpet and Punjagutta and from CTO flyover after 8.50 a.m will take a deviation in front of Chillah/Dargah (near Plaza junction) and go to the southern side of the flyover and proceed to the Swimming pool side, alight and walk by the slip road in front of VIP alighting point, according to a press release.
