`Allow handloom weavers to export through Cooptex'

. The cooperative societies in this district export Rs. 215 crores worth of handloom products every year under the deemed export system. Instead, the handloom weavers cooperative society should be allowed to export through the Cooptex, the Erode MLA, K.S. Thennarasu, has said.
At a three-day training programme for handloom weavers, he said cooperative weavers were producing quality goods. In the absence of proper buyers, they were leaning on the deemed export system. A federation should be formed for them to export their products. Or they should be allowed to export through the Cooptex.
