KOCHI, JAN. 23. Ooty's Ajith won the men's title in the KRL marathon, organised by the Kochi Refineries as part of the oil conservation week, here on Sunday. Lokaraj, also from Ooty, and Ernakulam's Pawan Kumar won the next two places in the men's event, a full marathon. A half marathon (21 km) was run in other sections and K. Chelladurai (Trichy, boys) Nija Joy (Ernakulam, girls), Jishi Joseph (Palakkad, women) and Kaladharan (Palakkad, veteran men) emerged winners. The Kerala Sports Minister Dominic Presentation flagged off the run at the Tripunithura Hill Palace Police Ground and E. Nandakumar, General Manager, Kochi Refineries, gave away the prizes.
