HYDERABAD, JAN. 23. Fiftynine persons, including seven girl students and 10 nationals of South Africa, who were allegedly indulging in obscene dancing at a farmhouse at Narsingi on city outskirts, were arrested by the Cyberabad police following a raid in the small hours of Sunday. The farmhouse owner, Jaspal Singh alias Bantu, and three DJs of Sparks pub -- Rajesh, Suman and Murthy -- were among those arrested. "The quartet collected money from the 55 persons to organise the party in which huge quantity of liquor was supplied. When our special party raided the place, men and women were dancing semi-nude in an inebriated condition," the Cyberabad Police Commissioner, M. Mahender Reddy, said. Mr. Reddy said that most of the participants were apparently from affluent sections of society. The open land, adjacent to the farmhouse, did not belong to Jaspal Singh. However, allegedly claiming it as his own, Singh asked the DJs to organise the party there.
7 girl students
While seven of the 15 women were students of various colleges, the remaining came to the party accompanied by men. The South African nationals were pursuing different courses in various educational institutions. Some of the arrested were working in reputed companies.Cases were booked against Singh and the DJs under Sections 3 and 4 of the Immoral Traffic Act and 294 (organising obscene dances) of Indian Penal Code. Cases were also registered against the women under bailable provisions. "We are calling parents of the women to counsel them," the Commissioner said.
