Glenmark study on asthma drug

MUMBAI, JAN. 24. Glenmark Pharmaceuticals SA of Switzerland, a subsidiary of Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd., has completed the first phase of dosing studies on its oral PDE4 inhibitor `GRC 3886,' for treatment of asthma.

In pre-clinical trials, GRC 3886 was shown to be a highly specific PDE4 inhibitor with potential for the indications of asthma, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals said in a release here today.
