Oswal sewing threads opens branch
By Our Staff Reporter
TIRUPUR,
JAN. 24.
Oswal Sewing Threads, from the house of Ludhiana-based textile giant Malwa Cotton Spinning Mills, has opened its 12th branch in Tirupur. The Tirupur branch, the second branch in Tamil Nadu after Chennai, has tied-up with Bluedart to ensure the delivery in the required time.
According to H. S. Khurana, Senior Vice President, Oswal Sewing Threads, within a short span of three years, the company has crossed a turnover of
Rs. 90 crores in the sewing threads section.
On the opening of a branch at Tirupur, he said, Tirupur had emerged as a strong garment hub of the country and its upward trend would continue. Keeping this in mind and sensitive nature of Tirupur market, Oswal has opened a depot. It expects to sell threads valued at Rs. 50 lakhs in the next 2-3 months. Unlike Bangalore, both in the stitching and embroidery threads, the Tirupur market dominated by local players and mostly unorganised, Mr. Khurana felt.
