Broadcasting to the nation on January 25 his Republic Day greetings from All India Radio, the President, Dr. Rajendra Prasad said that India "is determined to bring about a true welfare state in which not only does every citizen enjoy equal rights and equality of opportunity in all spheres of life, but is also expected to do his duty by the country and the people.
