This Day That Age
Mr. C.C. Desai, until recently High Commissioner to Ceylon, has been appointed High Commissioner in Pakistan, the Ministry of External Affairs announced on January 24. Mr. Desai joined the ICS in 1923 and, after holding several posts in Madhya Pradesh, was Deputy Director-General, Supplies, Government of India (1943-45), and Member-Secretary, Indian Tariff Board. He was High Commissioner to Ceylon from 1953 to November 1954.
