BANGALORE, JAN. 25. If you have any inclination to help those living with cancer, do attend this event. The Vasantha Memorial Trust, which sponsors cancer treatment for the needy, besides spreading awareness about the disease, is beginning its activities in Bangalore on January 30. The Trust, based in Coimbatore, also conducts detection camps and supports terminally ill cancer patients. The Trust will conduct an awareness camp at the Bangalore Tamil Sangham near Ulsoor Lake from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. The purpose is to create a large volunteer force, which will help in disseminating information about cancer and knowledge about preventive measures, warning signals and treatment possibilities. The Trust, formed in 1993, has so far sponsored 170 patients, organised 65 detection camps where nearly 6,000 people have been screened and created awareness about cancer. The Bangalore office of the trust is at Vasantha Memorial Trust, VFM Trading Co, 2243, Park View, 4th A Main, HAL Phase 2 Extension, BDA Layout, Bangalore - 560 017.
