BIJAPUR, JAN. 25. Two persons were killed on the spot and one suffered injuries when their two-wheeler was hit by a lorry at the bypass cross on the National Highway 13 on the outskirts of the city on Tuesday. The police gave the names of deceased as Mohan Bheemu Chauvan (28) from Makanapur Tanda and Balu Shankar Rathod (24) from Arkeri Tanda. The injured, Kumar Chennappa Chauvan (24) from Arkeri Tanda was admitted to the civil hospital here, the police said. He is reportedly out of danger. The accident occurred at around 1.30 p.m., when a lorry bound towards Sholapur hit their motorcycle, according to the police.
