NEW DELHI, JAN. 25. A final year student of Masters in Surgery with specialisation in anaesthesia allegedly committed suicide by injecting himself with some poisonous substance in his hostel room on the Safdarjung Hospital campus yesterday. A suicide note was recovered from his possession. According to the police, the tragic incident came to light around 6 p.m. when some friends of Chandra Moulishwar (26) went to his hostel room No. 49 to meet him. They found the door locked from inside. When they did not get any response on repeated knocks, they informed the police, which broke upon the door and found Chandra's body. A suicide note stating that no one was responsible for his actions was found from the hostel room. The police suspect an affair to be the reason behind the incident. Chandra's parents live at Ashok Vihar in North-West Delhi. His father is an engineer by profession.
