FDI proposals

NEW DELHI, JAN. 25. The Government today approved 30 foreign direct investment proposals amounting to Rs. 305.29 crores, including the proposal of the Japanese firm Kansai Paints Co to acquire stake in the Mumbai-based GoodLass Nerolac Paints for Rs. 104.27 crores.

The proposals, recommended by the Foreign Investment Promotion Board and approved by the Finance Minister P Chidambaram, pertain to sectors such as chemicals, agriculture, telecom, textiles, mines, power, IT and NBFC activities, an official release said.
