NEW DELHI,
JAN. 25.
The recently launched ".in'' country code Internet domain name registry service set up by the National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) has received over 4,000 applications from registered Indian trademark holders during the initial `sunrise' period. Sunrise applications were accepted from January 1 to January 21. These will be processed during the `silent period' between January 21 and February 16 after which registration for the general public will open.
