MADURAI, JAN. 25. American College beat Arul Anandar College, Karumathur 3-2 in the final of the Madurai Kamaraj University champion colleges badminton tournament at MKU indoor stadium here on Tuesday.

The results: American College bt Arul Anandar College 3-2 (Sam Johnson Joseph bt Rajkumar 15-11, 6-15, 17-14; Prakash bt Vinod Kumar 15-4, 15-2; Prakash and Steve lost to Rajkumar and Premkumar 15-11, 9-15, 5-15; Praveen lost to Suresh 12-15, 14-16; Sam Johnson Joseph and Praveen bt Balamurugan and Vinod Kumar 15-11, 15-6).
