Veera bats well

TUTICORIN, JAN. 25. Veera's knock of 71 helped Thermal Recreation Club `A' beat Seconds Cricket Club `B' by six wickets in the Indian Bank-Tuticorin District Cricket Association second division league here recently.

The scores: First division: Kayal CC 149 in 32 overs lost to Classic CC 155 for four in 25.3 overs (Renvik 55, Srinivasan 40 n.o.).

Second division: Seconds CC `B' 144 in 35 overs lost to Thermal Recreation Club `A' 147 for four in 26 overs (Veera 71); United CC 214 in 30 overs (Bose 56) bt ASKR CC 146 in 25 overs (Daniel 58, Pon Susee 50).
