Premveer scalps five

NEW DELHI, JAN. 25. Premveer Singh took five wickets as Delhi Police defeated Malviya Club on the basis of first innings lead in the Prime Division two-day match in the DDCA cricket league here.

The scores:

Prime Division: Delhi Police 308 in 70.5 overs (Vineet Bhardwaj 59, Kuldeep Singh 53, Anil Rana 40, Rajesh Tyagi 40) bt Malviya Club 262 in 64.1 overs (Rajan 68, Sachin Khurana 51, Bhuvnesh 46, Premveer Singh five for 78).

Elite-I: Rajdhani Club 221 for nine in 40 overs (Dushyant Nagar 85, Rajeev Choudhary 45) lost to Telefunken Club 223 for four in 28.2 overs (Gregory Saldhana 72, Praveen Kumar 46 not out).

Elite-II: Central Warehousing Corporation 128 in 24.3 overs (Lalit Yadav 50) lost to Delhi Administration 129 for two in 18.2 overs (Narender Malik 74).
