Police to interrogate 2 accused in Aladi Aruna case

JAN. 25.
The police have taken into custody two accused in the Aladi Aruna murder case — D. Azhagar (29) of Tirupur and S. Arumugam (27) of Sivalaarkulam in Tirunelveli district — for interrogation.
Though the police sought seven days for interrogation, the judicial magistrate, Tenkasi, Anil Kumar, who granted 24 hours for interrogation from 5.40 p.m. today, asked the police to produce the duo before him at 5.40 p.m. tomorrow.
When the police interrogated S. Balamuguran of Megalingapuram near Tirunelveli Junction recently after he surrendered before a Thiruvottiyur court, the police got some information about the people, who hatched the conspiracy. The police now believe that Azhagar and Arumugam could provide them with vital clues, which could lead them to the hideout of Veldurai, the prime accused.
