Ernakulam triumphs
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM,
JAN. 25
. Ernakulam men and A.G.'s Office women with identical 2-1 wins over Alappuzha and Thiruvananthapuram lifted the team titles in their respective sections in the 20th State carrom championship at the Bank Employees' Union hall here on Tuesday.
The results:
Men (final): Ernakulam bt Alappuzha 2-1 (P.K.Shanvar bt A.Jayan 25-0, 25-0; K.V. Anil Kumar bt Firoz 4-25, 25-5, 25-7; M.M.Santosh lost to A.K.Anees 25-17, 8-21, 11-21). Semifinals: Ernakulam bt Reserve Bank of India 2-1; Alappuzha bt Kozhikode 2-1.
Women (final): A.G.'s Office bt Thiruvananthapuram 2-1 Semifinals: A.G.'s Office bt State B.
