CHENNAI, JAN. 25. A post-graduate diploma course in yoga education will be launched in the coming academic year, S.P. Thyagarajan, Vice-Chancellor, Madras University, said today. Participating in the inaugural ceremony of the Manuscripts Resource Centre and Patanjali Yoga Kendra at the university, he lauded the inter-disciplinary efforts of the Department of Tamil Literature and Department of Sanskrit. The project of digitising manuscripts was a collaborative effort, involving other agencies and the university, under the aid of the National Mission for Manuscripts, he said. Besides digitalising manuscripts on Siddha medicine, the centre would collect and catalogue other manuscripts.
