Following a complaint from the applicant, Sunil Kumar was arrested. He was remanded to judicial custody.
Activists removed
As many as 48 Adi-Tamizhar Peravai activists including 25 women and six children were removed by the police, when they attempted to stage a demonstration demanding immediate compensation to the families of three persons who died of asphyxiation. It may be recalled that the workers who ventured into a corporation tanker lorry died of asphyxiation recently at the Ukkadam sewerage farm.
