Mowgli delights children at parade
NEW DELHI,
JAN. 26.
`Jungle boy' Mowgli came alive on the Rajpath, regaling thousands of children who came to witness the 56th Republic Day Parade.
"Rudyard Kipling's little hero, Mowgli, is here," announced the compere as the tableau from Madhya Pradesh appeared.
Displaying Mowgli and his animal friends from Kipling's classic Jungle Book, the tableau had as its theme the newly-developed `Mowgliland' in the Pench National Park Tiger Reserve.
Jungle Book is believed to be set in the jungles of Pench .
