Ramesh Pai passes away

BANGALORE,
JAN. 26.
Ramesh Pai, 81, Chairman of the Maha Rashtra Apex Corporation Ltd., died in a hospital here this evening after a heart attack.
He is survived by his wife, Shanthi, two daughters and two sons. He was also the head of a host of Manipal-based companies including Kurlon, Canara Nidhi, Manipal Holdings, General Investment and Commercial Corporation and Manipal Home Finance.
Ramesh Pai was also one of the Directors of Reliance Industries and was close to the Ambani brothers. He was also a past Director of Rotary International.
The cremation will take place at the Wilson Garden crematorium here on Thursday.
