KOLKATA, JAN. 27. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) completed its adjourned 75th Annual General Meeting (AGM), finalising the election of its office-bearers here on Thursday. The office-bearers, including President Ranbir Singh Mahendra, Secretary S. K. Nair and Treasurer Jyoti Bajpai, were selected in a contentious election before the adjournment of the AGM on September 29, 2004. Briefing newspersons after the meeting, the outgoing President Jagmohan Dalmiya, who chaired the AGM, said no transactions were carried out during the day. The two items on the agenda 1 (b) and 13 pertaining to the ratification of the decision about the patron-in-chief taken at the special general meeting on September 12 and the appointment of a Board representative in the International Cricket Council could not be discussed because of a Chennai High Court restriction issued on September 28, 2004. All other items were taken up in the earlier meeting. Asked who would represent the Board in the ICC, Mr. Dalmiya said he was not in a position to say since the matter was in court. Mr. Mahendra did not attend the meeting due to some election commitments in Haryana. Mr. Nair informed that a working committee meeting of the Board would be convened soon. Our Sports Reporter
