Letters to the Editor
Sir, I refer to the acts of vandalism that followed TDP legislator Paritala Ravi's murder in Andhra Pradesh. The torching of public transport buses is deplorable. Political parties, whose cadres indulge in such vandalism, should be made accountable for such acts. They collect huge funds from various sources during elections. They can part with some to compensate the people.
R. Srinivas Singh,
In this context, the Chief Minister's gesture of handing over the case to the CBI is praiseworthy.
P.S. Balasubramaniam,
Sir, Chandrababu Naidu's credibility has suffered a blow after the violence.
J. Akshobhya,
Sir, Ravi's gory end is no doubt condemnable but why burn buses and damage public property in protest?
S.A. Jayatheertha,
Sir, Stringent legislation is needed to prevent such damage to the people's property.
P. Tandava Krishnan,
