Don't blame them

Sir, — This refers to the article "History? What's that?" (Jan. 26). The younger generation cannot be blamed for its indifference to history. The couldn't-care-less view is what dominates human life today. Any serious effort to make sense of the past, societal or personal, is considered unproductive. For all those who champion the cause of the new world order, history is a waste of time.
