Flag hoisting row claims 2 lives

BHOPAL,
JAN. 27.
Two persons were killed and several injured in a clash at Banbana village near Nagda in Ujjain district of Madhya Pradesh on Republic Day.
A heated quarrel erupted between the family members of the newly-elected Sarpanch, Sonbai, and the outgoing chief, Babulal Bagri, over the hoisting of the Tricolour in the village school. After the function they attacked each other with lathis and sharp-edged weapons. Two persons were killed three seriously injured. The police used force and fired a few rounds in the air to disperse the mob.
The police have arrested 20 persons.
