KOCHI, JAN. 27. The students of Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady, under the joint auspices of the National Service Scheme and Department of Social Work conducted a tsunami relief camp at Karunagappally from January 14 to 24. The camp, organised with the cooperation of the Kerala Rural Development Agency, Karunagappally, was centred on the 13 wards in Alappad panchayat. The camp initiated steps for the rehabilitation of the tsunami victims, including women and children. Continuing education of the children was also given importance. Counselling and cleaning activities were also an integral part. NSS scheme volunteers and other students from the Kalady and Payyannur centres of the university participated in the camp led by Dharmaraj Adat, Jose Antony, Sheelamma, Reshma Bharadwaj, P.V. Baiju and P.K.Sindhu.
